The recently held Dasavatharam audio launch was talked not only for its grandeur in terms of the luminaries who graced the function but also attracted much attention to the manner in which one of the leading ladies of the film, Mallika Sherawat was attired. Her costume became the cynosure of all eyes more so because the event was attended by the honorable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Sound bytes from media and people averred that there is certainly an unwritten decorum in such an event that needed to be adhered to which Mallika had flouted.
A complaint has been lodged with the police on behalf of Hindu Makkal Katchi who felt that Mallika Sherawat had hurt the sentiments of Tamil speaking people and their culture. It was also said that the concerned authorities did not take any appropriate action against the actor and that is the reason for them to go to the police. Readers may recall that Shriya Saran was also in the thick of such controversy during the Sivaji function and had to tender an apology letter later.
